Driving in Eastern Kansas May 2008...
Dandelions were at a rest stop along Interstate 35 just west of Ottawa, KS.
The Flint Hills views were at 70 mph, from behind the wheel of the Blue Ghost (1978 Chevrolet Impala), cruising down the Kansas turnpike between Emporia and Wichita. No tripod needed for me, I was shooting from a steady platform (The Blue Ghost!)... camera preset at infinity focus and f:8, aperture priority auto, yielding about 1/1000 second shutter speed.
Camera" Pentax ME body with f:1.4 / 50mm SMC-M lens.
Film: Walgreens Studio 35 asa 200.

oh I miss that place! I grew up in the flint hills and I miss the wide open spaces and being able to see so much sky! A great place to go to be alone. Drove that route quite a few times myself. Love seeing it so green!
