Wow Ed, appears the camera is sounder than the bridge. I would imagine if you were to open the lens to it's widdest setting, and shoot those same shots you'd see the damage within the lens. Working at an aperture above f8, which I'm sure you have, you're only using the narrow part of lens, wouldn't you agree? Flaring would be caused by the damage along the edges towards center. Terrific shooting of that bridge. We have so much of that in U.S. Time for infrastructure to start over, and not just repair, but replace, and design them the same but with better materials. Why change history of design, when we have at our use the right people to design and redesing what's there.
As for that lens, quality speaks of what they did when they made it . Terrific. Thanks Pal.
