Two cameras, generations apart.
Zeiss Ikonta type 520, made in Germany about 1933, is a folder for "half frame" 120 film.... image negative size is 450 mm x 600 mm. Lens is uncoated glass, Novar Anastigmat f:3.5 / 7 cm (70mm)in Compur Rapid shutter. Focus is with front lens group, scale / guestimate, markings infinity to 4"6", but will continue beyond last mark to maybe about 3' close focus.
Olympus XA 2, made in Japan about 1982, is a subcompact (TINY) for 35mm film... image negative size 24 mm x 36 mm. Lens is coated D.Zuiko f:3.5 / 35 mm. Exposure is programmed electronic. Focus is with sliding lever / guestimate, with symbols for different click positions, will focus to 3'.

On Sunday October 1, I took both cameras to the St.Louis Zoo for a side-by-side shootout.
Zeiss had fresh Fuji 100 print film.
Olympus had fresh Fuji 400 print film.

All scanned images were resized for easy upload.
A few were first cropped from the original frames, notably the roses, the various hippo shots with the Zeiss, the gator, the komodo dragon, the fish. The other images were mostly not cropped.
