Claire Gempp Davidson Memorial Area with Pentax 50 - 200 mm lens

Another good day, and we walked the trail at the Claire Gempp Davidson Memorial Conservation Area on Sappington Road.
I wanted to test out a freshly acquired Pentax 50mm to 200mm lens, which I mounted to my Pentax K10D body.
Lens did okay, sharp as expected, but autofocus was confused and uncertain at close ranges with lens extended. I switched to manual focus for some of the closeups.
Everything was hand held.

The turtle and bee were really enjoying the day - and they posed so nicely.

Cool turtle and you got his reflection. You got the bee and his furry body. Puts bees in a different light for me. Would you say the flowers were lilac or lavender?

Thanks for the spring scenes. Trees are still filling out in Omaha.
Your turtle was very patient and gave some nice poses.
