I won this camera body at auction for a seriously low price, body only, no lens.
It got a cleaning and a checkup, and everything seemed to function except for the exposure compensation control. It was underexposing in my tests by almost a full stop.
But looking through my equipment I found this lens, a Pentax f:2.8 / 28mm with manual focusing mount. I had it marked as overexposing by nearly a full stop.
With the 2/3 sensor of the K110d camera body, it yields the equivalent coverage of a 42mm lens on a 35mm film camera body.
I was eager to test out the rig, and to try to catch some Fall color before the leaves are gone.
First few frames were captured here at home.
After an early week of cold, wind, and rain, on Thursday October 22 (yesterday) a warm front came through and we had temperatures into the 80's F, bright and dry, and a bit windy. It was a perfect day for an outing.
We went for a walk at my favorite small conservation area, on Sappington Road.
I got what I wanted in Fall color.
And the camera and lens seemed to be a perfect match up.
