I call this gallery "Early Summer" because it feels as if we are already into mid-Summer here in East Central Missouri.
Today was warm but pleasant, and we took a family walk in what used to be Camp Hi-Di-Ho in High Ridge in the old days.
I was carrying a Pentax K110 D, one of my favorite digital shooters. It has no image stabilization, instead relying on the shooter's steady hands. I like it that way.
See Image P0582. We walked all the way down to the limestone cave. The entrance and the sinkhole it sits in are fenced off for safety. Years ago some people got in trouble exploring the depths, and needed a rescue squad getting back out. The entrance is only maybe 2 feet wide. They say there is a "Big Room" deep down in there, and I will take their word for it.
