This camera was state of the art in manual focus SLR for Chinon of Japan when it went to market in 1987.
The body features integral motor drive with two advance modes, and four different metering modes.
It accepts all Pentax-type K Mount bayonet lenses.

This example was a generous gift from a good friend in England this Holiday Season.

It had a rough voyage over the Atlantic, and when it arrived, a piece of black metal shielding had been dislodged and damaged from above and behind the mirror.
Camera seemed to function without the piece, but it needed a film test to be sure.

So on one of the final days of 2005 I loaded it with a roll of ASA 200 Konica Minolta Centuria print film and drove in toward Kirkwood, Missouri.

"Rural" looking scenes, first three exposures, are actually in the heart of the city of Sunset Hills, Missouri. These were actually shot through the front windshield of my car while driving.
Woodland scenes are at Powder Valley Conservation Area.
Birdfeeder shots are with my generic Korean made 60-300 mm zoom, shot through the window glass of Powder Valley's observation lounge, handheld, no tripod.
All the rest of the shots in this set are with the Chinon's normal f:1.7 / 50mm lens.
Everything seemed to perform acceptably.
From the lounge, I proceeded to explore two of the beautiful hiking trails on the property.
