Blue Monster Argus C-3

This was the first Monster Argus I put together.
I call it a "Monster" because it was cobbled together with parts from various sources and then further modified, about ten years ago.
Body was from about mid-run C-3.
Serial No. 673716.
Some of the broken and missing rivets were replaced with tiny machine screws and nuts.
Internally, I re-adjusted the electrical contacts for flash trigger to adapt it for use with electronic flash, rather than bulbs.
Lens was scrounged from a Matchmatic, with the deeply recessed front glass and filter ring. I altered the EV numbers to conventional F stop values.
Finally, I replaced most of the outer black skin with blue vinyl that I cut from a checkbook cover.

After several years on the shelf, it got another chance this week to expose some film (Walgreens branded ASA 200 print film).
We went to two locations:
The Meramec River Greenway, in Fenton (I love those ancient towering sycamore trees),
and that little conservation area on Sappington Road.

The negatives gave me a rough time in scanning.
First they were scanned in the Walgreens minilab.
Then I redid the scans with my Epson.
I really don't know why they were so tricky to scan. Maybe film gone funky?
Images posted were from the Epson re-scan effort.
