Argust Day this year was Argust 21, when lovers of Argus cameras wordwide shot film with the Argus cameras that they love.
I went out and visited several venues that day, including:
"The Pink Elephant" by its liquor store in Springdale, north end of Jefferson County, Missouri...
The mighty Mississippi River at Kimmswick... I missed the boat...
Architectural features along Old Gravois Road in Sunset Hills...
The Meramec River at Minnie Ha Ha, under drought conditions...
My bathroom mirror...
And my backyard.
These images were captured with an Argus C-four, early variant, on Kodak 400 color film rated @ ASA 200 and developed in Caffenol.
The plan at first was to only post a selection. But then I thought, what the heck, they all say a little something about either the subjects or the process.
I was also shooting on Argus Day with an Argus STL-1000, same film batch. Images from that camera are posted in another gallery..
