Every year since 2001, Argus camera lovers around the world shoot with their favorite equipment to celebrate the Argus name.
Argust (or Argus) Day is the day of the month of August corresponding to the last two digits of the year.

This year for Argust 20th I shot a roll of Fuji 200 in a reconstructed Argus C-four Geiss Modified, a roll of Kodak 200 in an Argus/Cosina STL with Argus Auto/Cintar f:2 / 55mm lens, and, for color backup and "portraits" of the first two cameras, a Cintar 2 megapixel digital.
My subjects for the three were redundant, a few frames at home, Carondelet city park in St. Louis, and St. Martin's Cemetery in High Ridge.
This year I had fantastic weather.
Film developing was at home with Caffenol, common simple safe ingredients. This renders all films as a monotone, and my preference is to add a digital Sepia tint after scanning the negatives.
