Argust Day is a yearly event when lovers of classic Argus cameras record images of their day with their favorite camera or cameras.
The first one happened Argust 1 in 2001 and was organized by members of the Argus Collectors Group.
Predictably, Argust 10 occurred on the 10th day of August, 2010.
In the morning I headed out to Byrnesmill City Park on Big River, then out to Cedar Hill, Missouri.
This year I loaded up with two cameras:
a recently acquired "hybrid" camera, which someone in the past had put together by combining the lens and shutter assembly of an Argus Model AA with the body and film transport of an early Model A; (Images from that camera will be in a separate gallery);
and with a second camera for backup, one of my favorite examples of Model C4, the one that I had recovered in red vinyl "birdskin" material.
Here are some images from the red C4.
I loaded this one with Studio 35 asa 200 print film, and shot the entire roll in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
Looks like Argust 10th was a good day, I particularly like the vertical shot of the mailbox.

Very nice Ed. I love those creaky old buildings, peeling paint, rusting hardware
et al. The old mailbox scene is excellent, particularly 05A. Good eye.
