Argus 4.5 Model A Lens with Pentax K100 D

How crazy is this?
Yesterday I had a "what if" moment. What if I modified the I.R.C. shutter and lens from a prewar Argus Model A to fit a modern Pentax DSLR?
So I drilled a hole in a Pentax K Mount body cap and mounted the Argus assembly into it.
Test was with a Pentax K 100 D, using the camera body's shutter, exposing with Aperture Priority mode, and the Argus shutter held open at the T setting.
The lens has no focusing capability, and with the distance of lens to image sensor unchanging, I was restricted to subjects 30 inches away.
How does an 80 year old three element uncoated lens behave with a 10 year old digital camera body?
Not so bad, I thought.
