Trying to fight the "Ghost" that has been mischievously smearing white smudges onto people's images when they try to use the ACG traveling Argus C-4 camera, (see previous gallery at

), I worked on it some more.
I removed the black fabric patch that had been fit in there to cover the inner chamber shielding when the camera was in for a pit stop in California. It seemed to me that the fabric was at such an angle that it was actually reflecting a substantial amount of light. I then repainted the shield with a flat black enamel, flatter than the original black paint of the shielding.
There is still a faint suggestion of the Ghost's appearance in the left hand portion of some of the horizontal images, upper area of vertical images, but I think that overall it is much BETTER, and we could maybe live with this little quirk.
It is my hope that the camera can complete its worldwide tour, and that its mission might finally be accomplished in the foreseeable future.
