Argosy 3 Argus C4 Again

This is the Argus camera that went around the world since early 2006. It has been used in United Kingdom, France, Iraq, Kuwait, Australia, and most regions of the U.S.A.
Right now it is back here in my studio, in Missouri, for needed repairs. Many things were wrong with it and I have been working through various problems. This is maybe my fourth time with major repairs to this camera.
I shot this test roll today at the St. Louis County operated Museum of Transportation.
Most everything was behaving well, except for the usual difficulty with framing compositions through the an Argus C4's viewfinder. The finder shows a much larger area than is actually exposed on film, and I inadvertently cut off parts of images that I planned to include.

Looks like the camera and you have succeeded in capturing the pictures really well.

Ed, Excellent choice of subject matter, theme and exposure's are right on. Trains appear to be entering or leaving the station. Can just hear the conductor yelling out "All Aboard". Thanks for caring and sharing with us who not only love Argus, but also such views of days gone past. Amazing that you can get that camera to work again, but I wonder perhaps, if it isn't time to retire it, with a group of single photos from each individual who has shot a picture with it, and select another camera and start over again? It was such a pleasure to be able to have been a part of the past using that camera. Has anyone got a complete list of the other individuals, and all the towns it has been used in the U.S. and abroad? I love the shot of the overhead trolly, as I rode one of those back in late 40's.

Framing looks great to me!! fascinating pictures!! Never saw a train like the one with the big fan in front!!!

Great photos as usual, Ed. You must have got the Argus performing really well! The Cintar seems to cope with extremes of contrast better than I remember. Just think - I've acually held this very camera in my hands (when Jim Able in the UK had it).
