It was a bitterly cold and windy day.
I felt the need for a little excercise to loosen my joints, but it was a bit cold to walk around outside.
So I headed for the antique mall and walked the aisles.

Camera was a Pentax Optio E50 digital. It is slim and pocketable, captures at 8.1 megapixels, and has friendly controls. But it lacks any image stabilization.

All shots are hand held, so I needed a steady hand.
I shut off the flash to be unobtrusive and used available light (relatively dim ceiling fluorescents).
Some correction was done afterwards in software on my desktop.

Like the typewriters, sold one recently from the 1950's. Wish we could find the typewriter from our bakery we had years ago. Nice pics, Ed.

As always you found the really neat stuff at the antique mall. My Grandparents had a coffee grinder like 0658. My Mom said she woke up in the morning from its sound as Grandad ground the beans. Great pictures Ed.

Nice Pics ED. I am now settled , sort of, in Colorado and starting to play with cameras again. As soon as I can find it I will reassemble Frankenstein. Funny story , stopped at the only place in Fraser that will process 35 mm film. Wanted to buy some film , all he had was 6 rolls of outdated Kodak 200 color (2002) and 1 B/W T400 also 2002. He had an amazing bunch of old cameras in the show case, some Zeiss, a Minolta spy camera, Minolta 101 SRT's , some Polaroid, ALL of them given to him by customers who are now digital!! The Spy camea came from a friend who DID work for "The Company" as he called it. As we talked I told him the story of Frankenstein, and Buster ( heard from him lately ?). I then left and went to a Series of other stores in town, Safeway, Alco ( sort of a Colorado K Mart) Ace Hardware, and some others looking for 35 mm film --- NONE!! As A last resort I decided outdated or not it was better than NO FILM, when I went in to buy it , he scooped it all up and GAVE it to me ---Said just don't try to get me to develop it after sitting at the bottom of the Sea of Japan!! "That story was well worth the film!"

I actually remember having a Marx Typewriter in my youth...some good memories here.
