Brazos Bend

Brazos Bend is a 5,000 acre state park located just southwest of Houston, Texas. The park's marshes provide habitat to the American alligator which can be easily viewed. Herds of whitetail deer are commonly seen in the park's gulf coastal prairie and bottomland forest. There are many miles of multi-use trails that allow visitors to explore the natural world. Posted are some images captured on a morning walk in late February 2007. Note: The alligator warning signs should be taken seriously!
