From the notebook:

...Metro to Batobus stop at foot of Eiffel tower. Cruise up to Musee d'Orsay stop, to meet with a friend - arrive about 30 mins early, so do some photos around the Carousel Arch. Meet Beth and have a great discussion over lunch in the Tuileries. Walk back to the Batobus, then do the full loop to the Jardin des Plantes, and back to Eiffel Tower. Head back to hotel to pack and prep for evening event.... Leave around 8:20pm to get some real food. Dinner at Savenay (Auvergne sausages w/ mashed potatoes; omelet).
