Arrival at CDG was uneventful/relatively quick. Got picked up by taxi; dropped at hotel by 8am despite rush hour traffic.

The downside of flights to Europe are that they typically arrive early in the morning, and so the hotel did not have a room available, please come back at noon. Left luggage, went to a Salon de The and Patisserie for breakfast [2x pain chocolate, water]. Walked down to Trocadero with it sprinkling. Walked down the river downstream, until we couldn't go any further. Walked back, then to the Eiffel Tower and Champs du Mars, resting frequently since we were both tired and jetlagged.

Funny wedding photos were being taken in front of Tower. Went to Ecole Militaire to catch Metro, to Place de la Concorde and Tuileries. Walked through toward the Louvre, then Metro back to hotel. Room was ready, so we took a nap for a few hours. Woke up around 5pm, walked to Arc de Triomphe, climbed to roof (steep spiral stairs). Nice views of city just before dusk. Walked back down, then down Champs Elysee until Avenue George V, then walked back toward hotel.

Ate at Cafe Savenay on Ave Kleber. Back to hotel, sleep.
