Hi Rowena, this bamboo is Himalayacalamus falconeri 'Damarapa'and you are right it is beautiful. It is half-hardy in the UK but if you can provide a sheltered spot you could give it a go as it should be root hardy. Regards Jonathan Poston

please can somebody identify this bamboo (Glendurgan7.jpg). The colours are so beautiful.
