Ascog Fernery, Scotland

Ascog Fernery is on the Isle of Bute in the spectacular Firth of Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. Most impressive of the plants is the Todea barbara( the only survivor of the original planting in 1870 ). The large white rock from which it is growing is,in fact, the rhizome.
