Miss Piggy, a crashed C46 aircraft operated by Lamb Air, was so named because she was able to hold so much freight. On November 13th, 1979 she was flying a cargo of one skidoo and many cases of soda for the Arctic Co-op from Churchill to Chesterfield Inlet. She lost oil pressure in her left engine shortly after leaving Churchill. The crew of three tried to return the aircraft to Churchill airport but they clipped electric poles with one wing and crash landed on the rocks, where she sits to this day. Two of the crew were seriously injured.
