For several years now, on the 3rd Saturday, the small Tennessee town of Bell Buckle has paid homage to RC cola and moonpies with a festival. I have wanted to visit and photograph this fun event and finally decided to do in this time.
There's a little bit of a lot of things to draw people for a day of fun and the town's population of 500 swells by several thousand. (Every yard and every possible parking lot is rented at %5 a pop, which I suppose goes to the property owner.) There's a 10K run, an entertainment stage, a king and queen, a parade, and about every type of trinket and food item for sale that you can think of...and some you can't.
This gallery, I think, captures the flavor of the day.
