I remember this statue, or it's twin, in the Philadelphia Museum of Art 40 or 50 years ago. It was on the first landing of the grand staircase at the main entrance. It was "stored" in the 30's when the Met had no room for her. Was called "Diana the Huntress" IIRC. The Met asked for it back in the 80's or so, but Philadelphia refused, since after 50 years they considered it theirs. I don't remember it as bronze (or gilt) though. Also saw it in Philadelphia in the last ten years or so. Have always loved the statue, no matter where it is.
