A reprise of an old favorite - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/42185963
When I first tried this (3 years ago tomorrow), I had no idea that it would become a favorite of mine. Since then, I've tried something similar each spring without much success. Today's is good - finally.
Starting from the ground upward & outward - tripod, D300, 18-200 zoomed to 135mm, Canon 500 D closeup lens, circular polarizer. I also tried it with a diffusion disk but the light was too flat. The shooting angle is downward to get a solid green (golf course fairway) background. This smooth background is one improvement over the original from 2005. Oh, almost forgot, a Plamp (plant clamp) attached to a tripod leg to hold two small branches out of the way (which otherwise wanted to pass in front of the lens).
