4/12/08 - Bluebells at the Stone Bridge

Last week I did a PAD of the stone bridge and one of bluebells, Here they are again - all in one. Manassas National Battlefield Park. Behind me the forest floor is solid blue.
It's difficult to get a clear shot of the bridge - bluebells or not - because there are too many trees on the banks of Bull Run. After trying unsuccessfully, I decided to get away from the stream bank and had a little better luck. Not all that great, but this is about as good as it gets. This is actually the only clear view but unfortunately there are no bluebells between here and there. A good exercise in hyperfocal distance shooting to try to keep the near bluebells (about 2 feet away) & the bridge all in focus.
I spend a lot of time on the ground looking for unusual angles - and paid for it yesterday by bringing four ticks home.

Very nicely captuered dispite the lack of flowers. I shot a few similar shots at Great falls. -BJ
