The progression of making a dumb image. 1) Began with the intention doing something with this Valentine candle, 2) changed to fooling with light painting, 3) noticed the shadow on the backdrop and shifted to shooting the shadow, 4) accidentally got part of the candle in a shadow shot and shifted to shooting both, 5) felt the laser pointer in my pocket from a presentation earlier in the day and started adding laser light, 6) used the laser to "light the shadow", 7) ditto lighting the candle, 8) did an in camera overlay of 6 & 7 ----- result = one dumb image. Probably a first though - seen many candle shadows with a lit wick? I'm thinking that the black backdrop and the laser pointer may have potential for something different in the future.
Got out of having to do critiquing at the club - sleet & freezing rain forced a cancellation.
