Looking down the mountainside from the Pinnacles Overlook, Skyline Drive on a misty, windy, cold, rainy (did I leave anything out - oh, yeah - icy & snowy at times) day.
In keeping with my mentor's admonition of "what about the spacing?" I tried to compose leaving equal spacing at the top, left and right edges - and to fill the frame. Debated about taking a step to the left in order to get more separation between the nearly touching edges of the two trees - but the weather won the debate. Placed the near tree's trunk bottom near the bottom edge with similar spacing as the branches have with the sides/top and used the small pine in the lower left corner to add some weight to balance the upper right. Yes, I think about all of these sorts of things and more while composing. That's why I use a tripod and why it takes so long just to "snap" (make?) one image.
