11/26/07 - Southern Red Oak, 2

Basically the same shot as the 11/19 PAD. Waited a week for the leaves to change a bit more and changed my position slightly.
Due to the difficulty of shooting this tree so that it says "Autumn", since its leaves basically go from green to brown to bare, I'm taking every opportunity that I can to get an ever better shot. Winter shots are a dime a dozen (my favorites actually) such as - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/56042313 - and - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/74998120
Come to think of it, spring is tough as well. Not too much that's distinctive. In fact, my "4-seasons" poster - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/56648313 - fakes the spring shot (upper left) by using a shot that's actually from late summer with tick seed sunflowers in bloom to give the appearance of spring (unless you know these flowers start blooming in late August). Now that I look at this 2-3 year old poster I think that it's time for a new one.

I like the cattail in the forground. This is giving me visions of hardwood floors........
