11/19/07 - Southern Red Oak

This 150 year old oak is beautiful in all seasons. However, in four years of shooting it, I've found it difficult to get a good autumn shot. It tends to go from green to brown to bare with very little color. Days like today with a warm glow from the sun seem to work best. For fall, this may be my favorite so far.

Hi Ed. You were indeed successful in capturing that beautiful orange/golden hues contrasting superbly against the dramatically cloudy sky. Nice work. Michael.
