At the mid-point of a 2 week nature photography Elderhostel. We get the weekend off. I decided to work on abandoned barns and other farm buildings that are in abundance here in Sleeping Bear Dunes Park. I can photograph flowers at home; after driving nearly 850 miles I need to take advantage of things unique to the park.
The yellow dandilion-like flower is a goat's beard; the bluish ones are vetch. When the goat's beard goes to seed, the result puts a dandilion to shame - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/62011032
