A Costco tulip - one of 14 growing in a large glass container. The container holds no dirt - just enough water to cover the roots growing from the bottom of the bulbs. Pretty amazing - grew at least a foot in a little over a week and developed flowers (just starting to bloom today) in another week. Grew from 4" tall greens above the bulbs to a foot and a half high - and flowering - in 16 days.
Much easier to photograph these than the ones outdoors in the wind; like catching fish in a barrel when the flowers stay still. I placed a black cloth in the background.
