The Costco $15 moth orchid is into its 2nd year. What a surprise.
This is a shoot through - focus on the subject with a open aperture while shooting through vegetation that's up against the lens. The vegetation in this case is a Christmas cactus that's on its way out after a 2nd bloom cycle this year. A couple of nearly spent blossoms & some leaves provide color - albeit from the wrong part of the spectrum for the moth orchids' color.
