Hooray. Went to Skyline Drive and it was open (or 2/3 of it was). Big time foggy day in the usual Shenandoah Park way - thick as soup with 50 foot visibility, but drive a mile and the fog is gone. Great day for photography.
Took this shot 10 minutes before we left the park - 7 hours after arriving. I had promised my wife that I wouldn't stop anymore since she was hungry (3 PM and she hadn't eaten all day). We both saw this sky and agreed that one more stop was in order. It looked better in person, but I was surprised that it almost represented what we saw.
