After a week or two of posting images taken earlier this year (while getting ready for a craft fair, an exhibit, and a taping of a photography TV show), it's time to stop goofing-off. My first true PAD image in a while isn't a keeper, but it's a start. Went to my nearly year-old Costco $15 moth orchid and tried for an ultra macro. Used a wide open aperture to throw almost everything out of focus except a few parts at the center of the flower. Also cranked the exposure compensation up as high as possible without blowing out the highlights in order to get a bit of a high key effect. Didn't have the time to work the possibilities. Next time.
The entire area is slightly smaller than a postage stamp.
