I liked the way the mist shrouded Vermont green mountains came right down to this barn. Getting up early does have its advantages if you like foggy conditions. Shot this from about 1/2 mile away with a 300mm plus 1.4x teleconverter (right after I realized that my 18-70 lens, filters, and a bunch of other gear were back at the motel - 50 miles away - so I drove down the road and tried this instead). This forgetfulness also led to my 12-24 ultra wides of dairy cows (click "next"). An interesting day shooting with lenses I wouldn't have normally used on certain shots - and very educational. All in all, nothing was lost and a lot was learned (including to make sure you have everything before going out for the day).
