OK, the Maine vacation photos have ended - back to old Virginny.
Went out expecting a colorful sunrise; waited for 30 minutes; nothing. Started walking to the water lily pond - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/48511691 - and saw the sun peaking through clouds & pines. Shot this with a lens that I wouldn't normally use for a landscape-type photo, but want to focus (no pun intended) on the sun with the trees in silhouette.
Got a bunch of water lily shots when I was lucky to find two blooming right at the edge of the pond where I could get the camera within 6" without getting wet.
