Just back from a week at the beautiful coastal area of Maine (USA northeast corner). One of my favorite times was going to the wharf of the tiny local fishing village each morning before sunrise to watch the hard working lobstermen (and women) prepare their boats for a day tending their traps. Here we see a father and his two sons headed out to board their boat (upper left).
Just after the sun rose a fog blew in from the ocean and provided this great color and atmosphere. Maybe the best early morning of the week for moody photographs. No color manipulation; straight from the camera. Click on Previous to see a companion image.
I've been lucky having gulls fly by at opportune moments (but could have used a bit faster shutter speed to eliminate the slight blur on this one).
