Up at 5:30 to try for some sunrise shots. After driving for nearly an hour, couldn't find what I had in mind (scout before hand, dummy). Ended up back near home muttering under my breath. Saw the sun down low while driving by a meadow; stopped the car and got this. Not quite the countryside landscape that I was looking for, but different. Through the viewfinder the sun's color seemed to be a more uniform red-orange than the way it came out in the picture.
Same lens as yesterday's damsel fly macro and the previous day's white tail deer portrait. Fairly versatile lens - and at $150 quite a bargain as lenses go.
