This is a typical black & white infrared image. The elements of the scene that reflect IR light appear white (foliage, for example). The elements that absorb IR appear dark (or black depending on their degree of absorbtion). This is the previous version (the red/white as it came from the camera) processed to convert it to black and white (lots of way that this step can be accomplished - desaturate the colors; use the monochrome option of an image editing program; or, my preference, to use a color channel extraction option in an editing program).
