11/12/04 - Black Light Golf

My first adventure with black light photography. Only was able to get one of my two light sources set up. Big time jury-rig on my workbench. It'll be a few more days before I get it all set up properly. Once it got dark, I had to try something (with black light, dark is good). Grabbed what was nearest at hand - a couple of kleenex and a golf ball. Rubbed a little fluorescent paint on the ball, laid it on the kleenex, and voila - a black light golf ball. Maybe I can sell it to Top Flight.

Maybe...just maybe if I could see something like this beautiful image on the golf course, I could keep my dang head down and whack that dern ball straight for a change. Great image. Thanks for sharing.

Terrific Ed! I know a couple people who would be VERY interesting in the idea. Keep the courses open all night!

excellent imagery- i tell what would be cool is to use a science project display clear heart and shoot with speckels of red dye on the klenex

I think that as a first try for black light photography, you have done well indeed! I never would have thought of a golf ball! And the kleenex is also a great idea. Can't wait to see more!
