Had an opportunity for a photo shoot at the new Air & Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center. They let 6 of us from the local camera club in for a little over an hour before the regular opening time. Best - we were allowed to come in with tripods (not allowed normally) but had to take them out before the doors opened to the public. Great photo ops except there is so much stuff that it's almost impossible to get a plane (or whatever) isolated without several other planes or part of planes in the frame.
As a bit of historical interest - the cost of this plane, when built, was $45,000.
If you go here planning to handhold note the shutter speed - and this was one of the brighter spots.
