10/13/04 - Standing Out From A Crowd

Had a hard time picking between these two - more like straining a gnats http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/35011667

We have almost no colorful foliage; lots of oaks and other trees without much color. Found this little ten foot sugar maple sapling, and finally found a leaf that wasn't all marked up AND was at a height that I could get a decent background. Hard to avoid shooting up and getting lots of sky blowouts. Life is tough ;>D

Hey Ed, that's my kind of shot-- no crop :)
The B/G works really well against the reds and slightly more vibrant green on the leaf. Nice shot.

Ed, I like it! Nice soft green background makes
it stand out well.

Hey! I'm insulted (LOL). No crop - framed in the camera. Spent a lot of time moving the tripod fractions of an inch.
