10/4/7 - Dark Hollow Falls

Back to Shenandoah National Park for the weekly trip. Decided to reshoot this image from the last time. Nikon recommends center weighted metering when using filters such as the circular polarizer I used last week and today. I wanted to see what difference it made. Here's last week's using matrix metering (taken in the same general area but not the exact same spot). http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/34427785 Two tripod legs & one human leg in the water.

Nikon D70
1/4s f/22.0 at 22.0mm full exif

Given that its a week later the colors are a little different. But I like it metered like this better. More light and shade, more interest in the water.

Oh, this is a gorgeous shot and I'd love to visit this region. Used my Canon S50 - but have used the D70 for water movement and like it's versatility.
