6/23/04 - Golden Glow

Continuing along with the "golden fog" series. The wife says they're starting to look alike. I guess that's when it's time to stop. And just when I was getting the hang of it.

Lisa, the effect is achieved the same as the Virginia Bluebells at

I left an explanation with the bluebells. Another example of the same technique is at

Which of the two "Golden" ones do you prefer? I'm trying to pick one for an upcoming competition.

Sounds like we should start up a "Partners without Cameras" club! LOL - I get the same response on my photographic efforts. This is wonderful though - I too am experimenting with DOF and macro and I love your golden glow! If I might suggest decentering the flower to give better composition.

The thumbnail made me say "ohhhhhhh" so i guess i'm not tired of it, Ed..lol.. Beautiful hues.. lovely composition.
I did my rose pic on Monday and thought maybe I'd do a rose theme this week. My husband gave me that .. yikes ... look so i didn't.
What does he know? lol (dont' tell him i said that)
