6/11/04 - Black Eyed Susan

OK - different camera and different flower from yesterday, and reverse the approach. Instead of sharp forground and blurred background, do a blurred foreground and sharp background in the style of some great Freeman Patterson images (don't you wish, Ed).

Got eaten alive wandering in 3 foot high weeds in a light rain at 7 this morning while doing this. If I survive the summer without catching Lyme disease, it'll be a miracle. Too hot for longs sleeves & pants.

other sizes: small medium original auto

This has a dreamy effect to it through the out of focus flowers. I like it.. my eyes were drawn to it from the thumbnail.
I just discovered that I need Deep Woods Off !

This is a great shot. I have the same camera, I love what it can do in these kinds of shots. DEEP WOODS OFF! I have to use it too.
Thanks for sharing.
