I just finished reading "Colony" by Anne Rivers Siddons about a summer retreat in Maine where people of great means spent the summer sailing and fishing and playing tennis. It was more a place of "vacation" for the men because the women worked themselves to a frazzle so the men could enjoy it. This photo reminded me of that book.
