Month #53 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)
Sept. 2008 was an odd month for a viewer's choice - there was a tie. I posted my favorite of the two yesterday & here's the 2nd. (Chapel of Transfiguration, Grand Teton National Park. A large window behind its altar frames the magnificent beauty of these rugged mountains.) Here's what I wrote when posting this in 9/08-
9/26/08 - Grand Teton Chapel HDR
Still experimenting with HDR. Going back through my archives looking for images shot at several exposures - I was doing "HDR" back then by blending exposures using layers & masks. The current HDR programs are definitely faster & more effective.
This is a five exposure image (1 stop EV change from shot to shot) made inside the Chapel of the Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park. A huge tonal range from the deep shadows in the chapel to the view through the window of bright clouds topping the Tetons.
For a tourist guide outside view of the chapel looking in roughly the same direction as my inside image see - http://www.usatourist.com/english/places/wyoming/grandteton.html
