Month #14 - Retrospective of Daily Photos posted from 5/04 to 12/09 (most viewers for the month)

June 2005 - Into my 2nd year of daily shooting & posting. This may have been my summer of the dragonfly. I learned a lot about how to shoot this critter - part was photography technique "stuff" and the other part was learning about the critter's habits (such as, dragonflies & butterflies will often return to the same spot repeatedly. So, instead of chasing them frantically to & fro, set up your tripod, focus on their "home base" and wait. In less than 30 seconds they're back and you're locked & loaded. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Also, find them early (like sunrise) and they're too cold to take flight.)

This was the month's viewer's choice, but not mine. Although the subject is sharp, getting it that way brought the background more into focus than I prefer. A better one tomorrow.
