This was the summer when I finally carried out my flower garden threat of summers past - NO MORE ANNUALS. Gone are the petunias of years gone by - replaced by perennials and little ornaments like my friend Froggy. Here are two types of sedum which have done well along with some color provided by a creeping verbena. The real test will come next spring when we see how many of these perennials are really perennial. Local gardeners question the verbena but two nurseries swear by it. We'll see.
