It's hard to please some people. After three consecutive butterfly posts (albeit separated by a month from the 1st to the 2nd), my wife announced enough with the butterflies. Killjoy. OK- today's daily photo is NOT a butterfly. Went out this morning in the pitch dark hoping to catch a colorful sunrise. Although the sky was clear from overhead all the way to the western horizon, the eastern horizon (that's where the sun rises for you late sleepers) was pretty much socked in. Every once in a while there would be a small patch of color. I tried to make the most of it by capturing reflections in a pond. In this capture the image is flipped vertically and I did a Velvia-like saturated color post process.
